Your support helps nurses continue caring for others when they need care themselves. Through the Washington State Nurses Foundation (WSNF), Emergency Assistance Grants provide critical financial relief to registered nurses facing serious hardship, helping them remain focused on delivering high-quality care to patients and communities.

The Nurses Emergency Assistance Grant Fund provides short-term financial assistance to registered nurses experiencing significant hardship. Administered by the Washington State Nurses Foundation (WSNF), these grants help nurses navigate difficult circumstances so they can continue delivering exceptional care across Washington state.

Emergency Assistance Grants are not intended for WSNA membership dues or educational expenses.


Eligibility

  1. Applicant is a current member of WSNA in good standing.

  2. Financial circumstances due to illness, injury, disability, loss of employment or other crisis that have affected the applicant’s ability to meet personal/family needs, including those affected by the Spokane Complex Fires. Specific Spokane Complex Fire eligibility criteria TBD.

  3. Have not received Nurses Emergency Assistance Grant funds within the past year.

  1. Recipient agrees that funds received from the WSNF Nurses Emergency Assistance Grant will be used to fund personal/family needs.

  2. Recipient agrees that funds will not be used for WSNA membership dues or for educational expenses.
