A future nurse with a mission
Mamusu grew up in Sierra Leone, where her father was a community health officer serving people in rural areas with limited access to care.
Inspired by what she witnessed as a high school student volunteering in a school clinic, Mamusu set her sights on nursing. Now a BSN candidate at the University of Washington, she is preparing to work in med-surg, develop her clinical skills, and one day mentor future nurses—both here in the U.S. and back home in Sierra Leone.
