IENA Scholarship


Criteria

  • Reside within the boundaries of the Inland Empire Nurses Association area. Scholarships will also be awarded to nursing students living within the boundaries of IENA and attending accredited online nursing schools.

  • Must meet all WSNF scholarship application requirements.

  • Scholarships will be awarded by the Washington State Nurses Foundation Board of Trustees according to the established criteria.

  • Scholarships may be combined with additional WSNF scholarships as determined by the Board of Trustees.

  • In the event there are scholarship funds remaining in an award year, funds will remain reserved for awards in future years.

About IENA

IENA is a region of the Washington State Nurses Association, encompassing Spokane, Stevens, Lincoln, and Pend Oreille counties.  As a 501(c)(3) organization, their purpose is to act and speak for the nursing profession and to promote and enhance the accountability and control of nursing practice by the nursing profession.  IENA supports nursing education by:

  • Distributing funds to increase public and professional knowledge and understanding of professional nursing and of the sciences and arts pertinent to nursing.

  • Providing an educational and charitable organization for individuals and groups dedicated to the support of professional nursing.

  • Providing a means for soliciting, receiving, and making financial and other contributions to the profession of nursing.

  • Supporting and assisting the profession of nursing in maintaining and improving the quality of its services to the public.
