Doug was a skilled and experienced nurse, well-loved by patients and respected by his colleagues. He was a longtime member of WSNA, most recently serving as his local unit’s treasurer. Doug received his Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Wenatchee Valley College in 2000, and completed his Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree in 2020, also at Wenatchee Valley College. He enjoyed playing and teaching the guitar and serving as a worship leader at his church. He is remembered as a brother, uncle, friend, musician, and compassionate caregiver. Donations may still be contributed to WSNF in Doug’s name, and will be used to fund scholarships to nursing students throughout Washington state.
